| David joined Sparks Willson in 1995 and has been a partner in our corporate and transactional group since 2001. His practice emphasizes representation of technology-based growth companies in their finance and general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and technology licensing. David’s practice also includes an increasing number of manufacturing and healthcare-related businesses. |

| David is currently the editor of "The Business Law Column" at The Colorado Lawyer and is active with a number of community organizations, including The Foundation for Colorado Springs’ Future and the McKenzie Monks Foundation, supporting children with cancer. David is a frequent speaker on intellectual property and securities matters and is a contributing author to The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Business Organizations. |
| Prior to joining the firm, David attended law school at George Mason where he was a member of the G.M.U.I. Law Review. During law school, he served for two years as a part-time law clerk to Administrative Law Judge Bruce C. Levine at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in Washington, D.C. |

| David enjoys spending time hiking, skiing, and camping with his wife and three children, and squeezes in some running and triathlon races each year. | |
