| Michele joined the firm in June of 1997. Her clients come from a wide variety of industries and fields, and she works with them from their founding through their acquisition. Her practice emphasizes start-up issues, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities law issues, technology licensing, and intellectual property protection. |
|
Michele has been brought in to represent new clients when they receive an offer to be acquired and enjoys working with management through the due diligence process, negotiation of the purchase agreement, and closing and post-closing matters.

| Michele believes that in order to work effectively with business people, she has to understand their business and cater their legal representation to address important business issues. |
|
| Michele is in high demand as a speaker and author on such topics as intellectual property issues and transactional structures. |
|
During law school, Michele clerked for Justice Otto Kaus of the California Supreme Court. She is a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society, and has written articles for The Colorado Lawyer and for the Law Review of the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is a recipient of a National Civil Liberties Award from the ACLU for her work as a plaintiff in Reno v. ACLU, et al. Michele currently serves as a trustee for the Colorado Springs School and has served in various capacities in the Brown Alumni Schools Committee, including a 3-year term as Regional Director. | |
