Governments, Special Districts, and Zoning

Our firm represents governmental entities and statutory special districts. Paul Hurcomb was appointed County Attorney for Teller County in 2016.  Chris Brandt previously served as the County Attorney for Teller County from 1997 to 2015. The attorneys at Sparks Willson have experience and expertise representing and advising government entities on a broad range of issues. Such entities are subject to quite different and special requirements, and, as a result, can often require specialized legal advice. As a result of our general governmental representation, our attorneys are able to provide our governmental clients with advice in many areas, including open meetings, executive sessions, open records, land use/zoning and subdivision, taxation, TABOR restrictions, campaign practices, contracting, employment and human resources, finance, real property, as well as many others.
